No,you can eat most things as soon as its dead unless you have to eat hal hal meat. Everything i shoot gets sorted and eaten as soon as or frozen even phesant,panfried is my coice in a pitta bread with some good butter salt and pepper. It's probably best that you pluck and gut the birds first then cook them. From what I hear eating raw pigeon in the hide is a messy business. tom9284 Posted July 20, 2012 Author Report Share Posted July 20, 2012 thanks for the reply s. i was waiting for the i shoot mine not hang them ones LOL. forgot to add if you were to sell some through a local cattle market whens the earliest you'd shoot them? people who by them probably only give them to there ferrets but maybe to eat dont want to poison anyone with to old a bird lol.
