poontang
Those of you under the Colchester MP ought to lobby him on this !!!!!!!! What about everyone else? :o Bob Russell is a cock, and a useless MP. I've already spoken to him about shooting. He's ok with target shooting and clays but doesn't like anything with a face getting shot. Think I'll have another word with him. It won't change his opinion, but at least I can expose some of the lies in the LACS film to him. Up to 47 now. http://www.parliament.uk/edm/2012-13/

Kes
David Basc has already moved on this and will no doubt follow this up. Early day motions are usually a lost cause so lets hope this happens. I am saddened and appalled that those who should be our betters are little more than fodder for this simplistic, twisted and untrue rendering of biased tat. Long live the revolution ! poontang
quite a few labour MPs on the list! andrew Yeah, but to be fair there's 599 who haven't signed it. I'll send Bob Russell an e-mail at the weekend, and post his reply on here.
Scully
A lot of Labour MP's don't actually give two hoots about game shooting but will gladly sign up to anything which antagonises the Tories.Tories are perceived to be 'upper' class, and game shooting is perceived to be the preserve of the 'upper' classes. If you have a scan through the LACS website it soon becomes apparent that despite there being some genuine concern for animal welfare/cruel sports(such as bullfighting for example)the vast majority of posters have an inane hatred of what they perceive to be the 'upper' classes, and this hatred encompasses all from the Royal family to farmers and landowners. This isn't the first EDM regarding this issue, and it wont be the last, which doesn't mean we should ignore it,so if any of those MP's are yours,it wouldn't be a bad idea to let them know a little bit about yourself and how you feel about them signing the motion. You could start by asking them how much and in what way the LACS contributes to the coeuntryside each year, and how much gameshooting contributes in comparison, and take it from there. And if you fancy it you could go on the LACS website and ask about the welfare of the deer on their reserves...they don't like that;I never did receive an answer!Stephen Taylor e-mailed me to say he had blocked all my posts shortly before he was sacked! gunsmoke
Add this to the WWT report to Defra, the BASC research Committee report in the Gun trade News this week and the LAG and I can see game shooting is doommed. I will fight this threat with all I have to keep game shooting going. I'm out of work if it goes. If fighting for my life. They are not going to ban guns for shooting game but they are trying to get as much **** in place to stop us shooting. It was caged game birds not so long ago. Now we are fight a lead thread from the EU but my MEP say they do not know anything about it. The WWT/BASC report to defra points the finger a game shooters. I beginning to see a pattern. We could be looking at a lead ban for game shoots where they shoot duck. We have to stop this. Together we can win. artschool
I don't know how anyone who participates in shooting sports can vote labour when they would obviously love to ban everything shooting related.
Reece
at least 47 now so numbers are rising, andrew 47? When I look at it, it says 42. Most are labour, some Lib dems, and one or two others such as that George Galloway. There's also one from the green party. Not one is conservative. poontang
47? When I look at it, it says 42. That's interesting. There were definitely 47 showing last night when I put my link up. Looks like 5 have seen sense and distanced themselves from it. I see my MP is still there though.

Not one is conservative. goerge galloway!! he really is a figure of hate who just keeps on giving its a shame that george doesnt hold all human life in the same value, but then i guess his love of brutal dictators prevents that. i wonder too if georges new found interest in 'animal rights' would extend to those subject to having throats cut without being stunned? i guess not, mainly because he is a sodding hypocrite. edit ; anyone wanting proof he is a hyprcite - watch this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ul7FbMBp7dc Edited July 20, 2012 by pegasus bridge
