kent
when they go they leave a hole in your heart so big you think no dog could ever fill it. you know what though theres always another that comes along and does just that in its own slightly different way, not to forget those that have left. silver pigeon 3
Tough times mate, as others have said take comfort in knowing that you gave him the best possible life and let him die in dignity.

rapid12
sorry for your loss mate, i have lost all 3 of my best friends in the last few years and know what your feeling. i havent replaced any of my dogs as my kids where heart broken when they left us. i will not be having anymore dogs now until my kids have aged a little so not to put them through the same upset again. as said, time is the best healer. Fatcatsplat
That's a good age for a boxer - We lost our one (Babs!!) to cancer earlier this year aged 7 and the kids still miss her. Great dogs - My thoughts are with you fella
four-wheel-drive
Sorry for your loss as you say they are friends not just dogs as some people seem to think and you will never forget your Bailey. I do wonder at times how much vets actually now what they are doing a couple of my dogs in the last few months of there life's I have been taking them back and forth to the vets only to be told carry on taking the tablets when I new that there was more to it than but we cling to hope that they may get over it . I just wish that they would be straight with us and say the dog is on its way out do you want to throw money at it and hope for the best or give it a good end before it suffers to much.
