manton
I would like to hear any users opinions on the zero holding and clarity of Weaver Grand Slam scopes. These scopes appear to be Edgar Bros replacement for the range of Japanese made scopes they used to offer. I am particularly interested in the 6-20.model . tweedledee
i looked at them at the shooting show. the american made weavers were superior to the later japanese made ones. the opti mate scopes edgars do are great scopes,i have owned a few of them. i`m sure the weavers are fine scope. CharlieT
SWFA rate them above Bushnell 3200, Leupold VX11 and Nikon Buckmaster scopes.
Underdog
All I will say is I have owned two 6x40 and a 3-9 Weaver for many many years and they hold zero perfect, the optical clarity is plenty good and still good. I would buy them again. I don't know how they compare to the grand slam thouh. U.
Kes
A good topic on the 'value' of less expensive scopes, I wonder if the german and austrian and russian models merit their price tags. I am also looking for a high powered variable but dont want to spend the earth - is Weaver a good option ?
Paddy Galore!
i've got a grandslam on my swede and it's a peach, clear as crystal, really good for low light shooting, no problems with zero creeping.
