First time decoying with the Remington.

Woke up at four this morning with a stinking hangover, hadn't properly rinsed my flask so my coffee tasted of aloe vera and apple washing up liquid, my tobacco was dry and had a toothache.... To say I was in a bad mood would be an understatement.

The birds were very slow coming in and Mr Buzzard ponsing around the permission certainly didn't help bring them in either.

This was my first outing with the Remington 870 Express super Magnum and I must admit I was very anxious due to some negative feedback about pump actions.

Even though most birds were out of range me and WelshAndy managed to bag three crows and three woodies. Small bag maybe, but I'm very happy with the new shotgun and glad I got up and had the chance to use it in the field.

Thumbs up to the pump actions from me (Thanks Gemini52 for passing on the contact for the gun) :good:

Once you get used to racking it up, a pump is a great tool , it will cycle anything, nice shooting mate,

Cheers mate. I didnt find the racking that much of a problem to be honest. The action is really smooth and I love it.

Made sure I bought a three and half inch chamber and looking forward to using it on the geese when they come in.
