what are you putting it on?

 

If a rimfire I would just go for one of their variables as the point with the 8x56 is generally for stalking but then you'd want much better glass than that. I've a nikko sterling on my HMR its fine it works but I sure wouldn't go mega magnification its milky enough at 16 mag.

I looked through one at my gunshop, it was mounted on a Howa 308. I must say the optical clarity was pretty good. Not far off a Meopta if im honest. But how durable they are they though? Which really is the key when it comes down to a good quality scope.

Reliability, durability and most of all, clairty and light gathering.

I would take a punt on one if it was the right money.

I don't understandwhat you mean by milky? The nikko stirling platinum range has different glass to standard stirlinng hence the £300 price tag illumin + paralex adjustable
