eddoakley
Anyone got or had one of these? Seems good value but I suspect that you only get what you pay for. Hope to be proved wrong. http://www.uttings.co.uk/Product/543/102872/hawke-eclipse-30-8x56-ir-rifle-scope/ Edd
lewis2012
Local gun store did try to sell me 1 and I have read good things about them. I've just purchased Nikko. Sterling Nighteaters platinum 10-50x60 looks cracking. Also have a look at MTC Viper
Bewsher500
unfortunately in my experience of Hawke, you often dont get what you pay for!
al4x
what are you putting it on? If a rimfire I would just go for one of their variables as the point with the 8x56 is generally for stalking but then you'd want much better glass than that. I've a nikko sterling on my HMR its fine it works but I sure wouldn't go mega magnification its milky enough at 16 mag.
12borejimbo
I looked through one at my gunshop, it was mounted on a Howa 308. I must say the optical clarity was pretty good. Not far off a Meopta if im honest. But how durable they are they though? Which really is the key when it comes down to a good quality scope. Reliability, durability and most of all, clairty and light gathering. I would take a punt on one if it was the right money.
steve_b_wales
I've never had a bad Hawke scope, and I've owned many different models over the years. Their Endurance 30 series are excellent scopes, and carry a 10 year guarantee.
Shorty
I have had many Hawke scopes, found each one excellent value for money. I also have an 8 x 56 on my .243 which I use for fox and deer which I find very good even in low light conditions. You should not be disappointed. Cheers Shorty

The nikko stirling platinum range has different glass to standard stirlinng hence the £300 price tag illumin + paralex adjustable
