Paul223
condensation in the tank, it's been such a wet year, do you normally fill your fuel tank?
al4x
could have been from the fuel station, has happened many times before It's mostly rumours according to the bloke I know who inspects tanks for a living with modern tanks just doesn't happen. I'd go with paul223 but also make sure there are no small holes on the filler tube from the cap to the tank.
BerettaSV10
Many years ago used to use a certain supermarts petrol only, ended up breaking down with water in the fuel. Had it cleaned out, changed petrol stations and never had any problems since.
ajm1979
I had this problem on the Fourtrak a couple of years ago with fuel from a little local filling station when the cold weather hit fuel kept frezzing then jeep just wouldnt run, had to have the tank drained and cleaned out, only use bp/shell in it now and it never misses a beat no matter how cold it is

vulpicide
In a former life when I drove Taxis there used to be a small draincock under the fuel filter so you could drain water from the filter.
al4x
there is on all the 4x4's I've ever had but I've never ever needed to or seen any sign of water present, but if you start looking at ones on farms with basic metal tanks its quite a common occurrence to find water in
