DAVE_B
I am new to clay shooting and have taken the advice to stick with a specific cartridge. Had started using Gamebore White Gold 12g/28gms and really like these but I have found one my local suppliers does not handle Gamebore and in a desire to support my local supplier I would not mind changing as I have only just started. Can anyone give me some good quality equivalents that would perform similar to the White Gold? My wife is using Hull Comp X 12g/21gms so I know the supplier carries Hull. Any suggestions well received.
BerettaSV10
The Hull Comp X range in 21G / 28G in plastic or fibre wad are good cartridges as they are soft on the recoil, reducing any recoil shock to a minimum, though these may not work in some semi auto's. I have been using them probally for the past couple of years without any problems. Another cartridge thats been recomended to me to use is Eley Olympics (only come in plastic wads) at around £183 a 1000, tried a sample and they are a good cartride and cycle in my semi. Not sure how much recoil shock is felt as only tried them in a semi. Edited September 27, 2012 by BerettaSV10
timps
I would not get too hung up on more expensive automatically means an increase in scores, but if you want Hull’s marketing department equivalent to white gold then go for Hull Pro One. I have shot white gold for a time as well and personally consider the Hull Pro One’s one of my favourite cartridges and preferred them to White Gold, not by much but still did. I don’t see the benefits over cost they give compared to the cheaper carts nowadays so not used them in a while though.
dougall
Hull are all good.....Sovereigns/Pro Ones are white gold equivalant at premium end..not the cheapest but v.v. good. Comp X (are they the ones in the black box)? These are pretty good too..and not expensive.

Azzurri
After a recent spell on White Golds, used to use them many years ago before diamond shot was invented, I am now back on Eley Superbs in 7s & 8s, can't fault them and cheaper than any Hull equivelant load.
