UKPoacher
God isn't as smart as she is made out to be. Why make walnuts the same colour and size as sheep droppings and then put the tree in a sheep field? Must take my spec's next time

UKPoacher
Little Wife is intending to make some date and walnut cake. She asked if I could get some dates so I said "24th October, 3rd November.................."
Brown Sauce
Pick enough of them when green and before they fall off the tree to fill a 2 litre Kilner jar. ***** each one before putting in the jar, pour in half a pound of sugar and cover with cheap vodka. Now it will take about 6 months before its ready and will go black, before mellowing to a deep brown. Might need decanting off any sediment, but you'll be left with a delicious liqueur. Just a suggestion.
