henry d
Yet another nice day out decoying! My mate and I had been watching a field that was clover a year ago and was sown with barley this year and has just been disc harrowed and the woodpigeon have loved it.ÃŒt`s not far from one of our permissions so we had an idea of the flightlines but the bad news was it is surrounded on 2 sides by a wood where the pigeon love to loaf about Anyway I decided to just take the rotary and 2 dead birds for it.............OK I forgot the deeks Didn`t matter as it happens I shot 3 birds within 5 mins of getting set up and ended up with 28 woodpigeon and 3 hoodie crows for 63 cartridges with 4 L&R`s I very nearly ended up with 2 less as I had a Buzzard and a Sparrowhawk in the deeks for a freebie but I shooed them away. I was about to pack up and was stood in full view when 3 woodpigeon came in,one settled to the right of the rotory and another actually settled UNDER the rotary!I stood there for 15-20 seconds expecting to see them flee but instead I shooed them and shot them both Pigeon and pork pies I think View from the hide and the bag with a hot spaniel.
