I have mine secured to breeze block wall not sure if it's the same as thermo block thou, the feo had no problems with that and it's an outside wall doesn't seem to have damp issues inside cabinet but I'm going to put a Napier damp patch in there just to be safe as suggested by forum members here .

As long as you dont bridge the cavity with your fixings you will be fine. Thermolite block is terrible to get a proper solid fix into. If you FEO insists on old fashoined rawl bolts try and fit the cabinet into a corner and add some side fixings into the other wall or underneeth and pick up a joist. The best fixings i have used on thermolite are threaded stud into chemical resin, problems is many FEO's are not trained in such matters and rely on what is written on the subject and just repeate what it says

Just moved into a new build , and was wondering what is best to use to secure the cabinet to the thermo block wall? Also it will be on a outside wall will this cause a damp issue?

In a new build you should not have any damp issues at all, outer skin, cavity insulation, thermal insulating blocks and then almost certainly dry lined.

What you may very likely require is the chemical set studs.
