kippylawkid
I have been watching a bean stubble steadilly increase in pigeon numbers this week, and clicked over 2000 on the field yesterday. I was getting more than a little optomistic for this weekend but I was hit in the face with a wet fish this morning when I saw the lot going under the plough. Gutted doesn't even come near to it! It just goes to show you can never count your chickens....

kippylawkid
Yes, I might take the gear and set up as the field is on a decent flight line and there were a lot of beans spilled. I haven't got a plan B so it's worth a crack!
sitsinhedges
I've had a rake of pigeons recently on disced stubble, there was enough spill to allow plenty to come top the top. May be the same with ploughed stubble too.

kippylawkid
Went and scanned the field and there were 50+ on the field but not a breath of wind. I'm going to leave it until a better shooting day rather than not shoot it to it's full potential. Will report when I go!
