what did you think i was on about,,,,

 

 

took this chap Saturday evening the pics didn't tern out as i only had the phone camera and its pretty pants.

 

it was on a piece of new land that i had just picked up i went for a short walk about to see back stops and such and there he was making his way up the hedge to my right i waited 5 minutes for a clear shot and down he went 130 yards 243 90g Winchester soft points im really pleased with him and it broke my munty dry spell too.

this is the rest of him 6 big bags of mince 1 whole haunch and 4 bags of loin 2 cuts per bag cant beat that.

That really is a good result, especially as you were only having a walk about to check backstops etc. Well done!

Hice head and a good job on the butchery!

 

thanks pete i enjoy the butchery its only a DIY job in the garden but you get some stunning cuts from a little munty

Great head, have you measured the antlers to see what it would score?

 

 

not yet im gonna have a bash tonight do you still have that link to the score sheet i no both antlers are over 10 cm and tines both at 2 but there is not much body to them perfect shape tho so fingers crossed thanks

 

Interesting tail that muntjac had.

The best thing to measure them with is the toy tape measure you sometimes get in Christmas crackers.

If you use a normal sized one or a metal tape they just don't bend enough.

I sat and watched the CIC man measure my last one and he used a bit of string and then measured that, IMO that gives 2 chances to not be accurate, but what do I know...

i have gave the scoring a go and im hitting 66.4 that makes a gold but im probably be over generous but a silver is defenetly on the cards

 

cic say bronze 56

silver 58.5

gold 61

 

thats going on my last medal certificate that i got a 58.4 bronze half a point of silver
