Rimfireboy
With this breeze theres a lot of leaf fall. Squirrels were out foraging on the ground amongst the leaves on the ground this morning. I came over the top of a bank to see a grey running towards me, it saw me and stopped in it's tracks, turned and ran back in the opposite direction along a bank where there are oaks all the way down. I watched it go but it stopped to have a look for long enough to take delivery of a CCI hollowpoint. Ten minutes later I was able to drop another one attacking a pheasant feeder. Got my sights on a third but it just nipped into the undergrowth before I could squeeze a shot off. These squirrels are fat, got some weight to em. Didn't see any in the trees today, all on the ground.
Reece
Good work. Grey squirrels spend most of their time on the ground anyway, probably even moreso at this time of the year when they're still foraging. Be sure to add your kills to the pigeon watch grey squirrel kill count for 2012. Edited November 19, 2012 by Reece
