lee-kinsman
Hi, I'd like to start filming my shooting trips. Can anyone recommend a good camera, preferably one that I can attach to my gun, head on bank stick to film from a pigeon/wildfowling hide. Please include make and cost. I'm not looking for an expensive one but I realise that what you pay is what you get. Thank you, Lee
XD2
I can't remember all the names of the top of my head, but you should look at the ones designed for extreme sports and being attached to motorcycle helmets. The best one is probably the Go-Pro (used a lot for TV as well) although it is also the most expensive. There are cheaper options about. Do you have a budget in mind, maybe I could have a look at the ones I was looking at to see if they fit in your price range.

steve_b_wales
I use an Action Cam # 3 720P HD.(Chilli Cam) An excellent little camera, about the size of a small torch. I've used it when attached to a shotgun barrel, and the recoil does'nt affect it. It comes with different fittings to attach on helmets. bikes etc. I paid approx £50 for it. Google the name, and there are some video's made with this camera.
UKPoacher
I'd suggest that you really need two cameras. One of those ATC headcam types for mounting on the gun or hiding under deeks, and a proper video cam for more involved scenes. It can get a bit boring watching a home made vid with one wide angle camera especially for shooting pigeons at 30 yds. I got a second hand refurbished video camera with two batteries, all the wires, 32X zoom, macro function, case and r/c for £120. It records up to 20 hours on a hard drive and the ATC head cam and all its gummins fits in the same small case as the video camera. Edit - Adobe Premier is a good program for producing the videos. steve_b_wales
Try one of these http://www.clayshoot...orshotguns.html This is almost identical to the one I have mentioned, apart from having two different end caps. Mine records sound as soon as it's switched on.

I had this one as above, it lasted Just two days, then the button went Duff and would not function correctly... seems this is a common issue on these camera's as reviews say this too. I got a replacement and that went bust too a week later, internal component failure was there report I got from the factory that makes them (China) as same company is selling them on ebay that I got failure report from. there £39.00 on ebay. I Have bought a different one now from else where. to be honest if I had the funds I would go for Go- Pro for sure. Dear Santa.... :-).
