The Essex Hunter
I had a missed call from the Sheppard around 6.30pm, so I returned his call and could here he was in the lambing shed…What up I asked? I’ve just seen 2 foxes hanging around the yard! Ok I will be over… I bought some 95gn Remington rounds a few weeks and had only tried them on paper....know the target was a fox! A big dog fox was in a small wood just behind the lambing sheds which has become the last resting place for many a fox this year. I use quad sticks and they are very good except on concrete as they will skid around….however I found some grip and off went the round. The second was a vixen making her way back along the wood about an hour later. Happy with my evenings work I nipped in to give the lambs a look….they are cute!!
