Mr pigeon
Hi people my dad is after the business in night vision for fox shooting. Without sounding arrogant money is no object if its worth the pennies! Any suggestions? Cheers
sethb
Have a look at the starlight longbow, and if money is no problem buy the archer and use that as the spotting scope, deadly combination.
mark@mbb
If money is not a problem you want a pvs 14 spotter and a D760 dedicated scope and you will have one off the best on the market
al4x
All depends if he wants magnification or not the D760 is fine but you do have low mag, a longbow is where my money would go if I was spending a fair bit
magman
My choice if money was no object would be a kite after looking through one
magnum
d760 is very good but the raptor x6 is better and get a envies or a pvs 14 with x3 lens as a spotter
barrelsniffer
Kite is no where near as good as 760 and raptors use same tubes as 760 but are twice as heavy as more robust...if money was no option the best NV i have used and own is the D-830 with pinnie tube gen3...similar to the starlight longbow but a US version..if you can get one. http://www.opticshq.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=Optics&Product_Code=D-830&Category_Code=Night-Vision-Rifle-Scopes
bullet boy
I would recommend the Starlight Longbow or Starlight Archer. I am currently using the Starlight Archer and am very pleased with it. The Archer is a Gen 3 NV Add-on unit which you can use on different scopes.A very good NV unit IMO! The good thing about Starlight is that they are based in Manchester so parts and servicing are easy accessible. ATB in whatever you choose. Dekers
Hi people my dad is after the business in night vision for fox shooting. Without sounding arrogant money is no object if its worth the pennies! Any suggestions? Cheers :hmm: What sort of distances and what sort of magnification do you want, will this be a dedicated Night Vision Rifle or is day use required, is this for regular professional use or now and again "fun" ? If money is no object then £8K isn't that difficult, money always tends to come into the equation though. Look at the market, the NiteSite type of product, the other scope add ons and the dedicated scopes, you will need to decide what best suites your requirements and budget, nobody else can tell you that! al4x
Just make sure you look at warranty and whether things can be repaired some systems have an awful lot of cables, are battery hungry and really may well be junk when they break out of warranty
BattleFieldRelics
I'm selling my D760 if you are interested.
