johnny
Have read a bit about this and thought it must be rare but in the last fortnight both me and my mate have had it where the bullet gets stuck up the barrel. he's had his 2yrs and I've had mine nearly a year we both use horhdy ammo. Do other brands still suffer the same. Cheers john
tweedledee
Quite common problem.carry a rod in the car just in case
steve_b_wales
I've had the same problem, once, using Hornady ammunition. The bullet head went approx 1/2" into the barrel, and I had to get a rod to push it back into the chamber. When I fired the round, it did'nt sound 'right', and then I could'nt chamber another round. Bangon
I had a slow firing round when i was home last. I squeezed the trigger and the firing pin struck and about a second later the round fired.

walt1980
Was it just the Hornady 17 grn ammo that's been doing this??

Elmer Fudd 1
i cant remember the name for this, its somthing to do with split round or something... it basically means the round has no powder in it. the primer has enough force to push the pill a few inches in to the barrel obviosly on the off chance that this happens, a follow on shot will well and truely ruin your barrel this is most common in reloded centerfire ammo but can happen in factory ammo sometimes. *not saying that reloders dont put powder in their bullets but it has been know to happen sometimes

It was down to either a bad batch of brass or bad annealing, I forget which. The case would split at the shoulder which was allowing gas to escape other than through the bore. Hence, the bullet may be left in the throat. J.
