There's one in ormskirk pal and he does puppy classes the guys name is nick powel. I will try and get his details for you. But don't push on commands yet (sit heel ect) at 7 weeks let the pup do as it pleases with in reason that is just play with it using a ball or a duster tied up into a big knot or what ever the pup likes picking up and just keep encouraging it back plenty of praise but don't push any sort of trainning till at least 4 months and then its just the basics sit, recall and lead work and progress from there. Hope this helps

Cheers Chis thats just what we have been doing one big game, he naturally sits when he's next to you so learning to sit was was very easy, he have a rope with a knot in each end he loves to bring back for us and his toilet training is going well and he has had a few minutes a day on his lead wandering around i am still a little bit shocked at how chilled out he is he seems very switched on and keen to impress me. He also has taken to his crate well too and is quiet all night :)

Ha ha bullet never ceases to amaze me! For the past week he has been sleeping on a blanket in our room to get him settled, and been fed in his crate and left for short periods of time if we went out but never over night. This past two nights he has gone in the crate at 3 or 4 am after been brought down to go for a pee. So tonight I have just said to him "come on bullet bed time" and he trots straight in there and settles! The alarm is set to let him out for a pee in a few hours am so chuffed with him. :)

Excellent he's 8 weeks old decides he want to sleep in his crate downstars like a big lad ( i think he doesn't appreciate my snoring) and he has no pee or poop mishaps the mrs let him out about 5 am and it let him out at 7 am when i woke up and took him in to the yard for a run round :)

hmm little progress report for Bullet, he apears to be pre-programmed to the whistle! not really used a whistle with him much but whilst i have been away the mrs has had trouble with him bolting off to fuss over people but this weekend i have been using the whistle to recall him around the house and garden. so this afternoon we have had up ont he river bank and he has been very very responsive to it 3 pips has him coming at me like a proverbial bullet and one pip he sits instantly! even when he was playing in a group of other spaniels he stopped instanly and recalled to me. i am one happy bloke tonight :) his hunting is doing well as when its just me an him he is ziggin and zagging around from cover to cover in front of me :):yahoo:

Don't over do it with the little fella.

He don't need masses of exercise as a youngster, need to protect his joints.

Good that he is learning just be carefull as they can get bored of it quickly if given too much too soon.

Lovely looking dog.

Friend of mine has a young cocker same as I do, asked him how it's training is going, his reply great it's nearly got me trained now

Cockers are not like other dogs there special.

Hi Figgy he does just a few mins of playfull sniffing out of a dummy in the long grass or me walking left to right to encourage his hunting from side to side all in his walks are no longer than 40 mins less if he has been playing with other dogs.

his recall whistle is used at meal times as well as while out and every now an then when he does a recall he gets a piece of his food just so he associates the whistle with some thing good. he is starting to be be very trainable as in sitting and recalling he seems to be craving more all the time but i am being very carefull i don't over do things and what bit he is doing is all playfull and theres nothing strict its all a big game at the moment for him just encouraging his natural abilities as he is from both working parents he seems to know what he is doing and its just a case of me being trained on how to encourage it to the fore front with him :)

we got him from up your way (hetton)

All the best

Andy
