moor man
Tescos did a 'AA' version, end clicky switch and I have to say its very good, think I paid about £8 for it. http://www.derelictplaces.co.uk/main/showthread.php?t=23848#.UN41ZOR1GSo I also use an Alpkit headtorch, great value for money.http://www.alpkit.com/gamma Loads on evilbay....have a look at ultrafire range, only prob with them is they run on cr 123 or bigger rechargeable batts.(so you need the charger too). Cree technology is improving rapidly with new models appearing monthly (or so it seems) Have a look at Lightforum, loads of flashlight anoraks on there but they have done the legwork and will save you a lot of wasted pennies not to mention time. Hope that helped, MM.

Wharf Rat
I always have a Tescos 2AA in the pocket of my wax jacket. It is just as good as a Ledray or Surefire at airgun/shotgun ranges. I keep a universal QD mount in the gunbag too. Since the torch has a 25mm dia. head I use it for lamping if I get caught out by the early nights when roughshooting. Loads better quality than the cree stuff I have used from e-bay, batteries are cheap too.
Gregthegreat
Tescos sell them as do B&Q. Both take conventional batteries instead of camera flash types and the B&Q torches are focusable.
