Hi there.

Just have a question about guided pigeonhunts in the UK.

My guess is that most of you guys have seen the movies made by Jim Albone (Redletterday 1 and 2)

My question is :

Is it possible to book guided hunts at heas Sporting agency?

Does anyone have any tips for me where i can do this as a turist?

Was thinking of maybe comming over in march or somthing.

Some links would be nice

Cheers guys!

EDIT : Hmm i did a search on "Guided" and i have made this topic before hehe

Well ignore it unless you have some more tips for me

Try posting the dates of your holiday, the area you will be staying in, and also if you are bringing your own gun, as there may be shooters willing to take you out for a day or two, especially if you are willing to carry the decoy gear :( . Before you come over it will be a good idea to join BASC so you are covered on insurance.

As Highlander said don't believe that every pigeon day is a kill fest. There are a lot more average (bad) days than good in this area.

Big Jim - red letter day - 30 men with flags, is it almost April?

Hi KIKKAN,

Sorry mate, but I for one don't really want foreigners coming here and shooting 'our' pigeons!! :(

C.B. :~{

We feel the same way about Germans comming over here with 2 x Big deep freezers and power generators emptying every good fishing water we have (even the sea).

But i got the impression that you could hunt pigeons in the UK every month of the year, and that does say somthing about the numbers of pigeons there is in the UK.

But i feel you :D

back on topic...................log onto www.shooting4all.co.uk.

On here they will notify by email when they have organised pigeon shoots amongst others....You can get on a sindicate on last minute deals @ discount prices if you can 'up...and go

I think its shooting4all.com

I might be wrong but was there not a thread on here, commenting on a thread on another popular gun trading forum about some legal issues with these guys? If I have the wrong end of the stick I will apologise, I think it was something to do with land?

Not tried the shooting 4 all site but have looked at it over the last couple of years and most of the adds seem old and out of date. I think the site may have recently been taken over so it may change in the future.

For a more pucker site have a look at http://www.basc.org.uk/content/go_shooting

This is a BASC site and it does work. I used it this year to find a pheasant syndicate to join this year and I found 2 in my area and joined one, first day last saterday.

How much would a 3-day shooting cost Will? (in March- April time)?

Im bringing a friend that also likes to shoot.

I also need to bring the wife and the kid along, but not on the shooting :/

Have no clue if Mach-April time is any good for shooting in the UK.

I read that jun/July/august and september was the best for shooting, but there is no reason to come over in that time because then its open sesson over here, and i get alright bags here in that time.

Send me a PM if you have some info for me Will :/
