topshunt
would definately go for a introduction to clays as they would cover the safety aspects of shooting and also you would get instruction on gun mount and how and where you should be shooting to break the clay, well worth the money if youve never done it before. grousemoor
I agree with topshunt, being able to handle the gun safely is paramount.
100milesaway
Don't know which area you live in but if you put your general location on here then the local to you people would recommnd you a good starter ground, if you want to improve on that then see a good coach. from Auntie. Paul T
my local is park lodge , on my doorstep i have my own gun and cartridges but a lesson isnt cheap I am going with my wife for our wedding anivasary £110 for us both You have your own gun and carts so can obviously shoot, but a lesson would be great for you to firm up on technique and worth the money in the long run. If you just fancy going up there for a quick shoot around, drop me a pm. I might nip up for an hour tomorrow if it stays fine.

Gunnerbob
Hi, have recently returned to clay shooting after 25 years and spent a very worthwhile 2 hours at High Lodge with an instructor...very illuminating! I would say go for a lesson if you can. :good:

eastlincs
I went to pinewood Gainsborough £30 for a 1 hour lesson basically just for the safety and basics on shooting. He said after that one hour if I'm not looking into competitions and stuff which I'm not to just go on my own without more lessons and if I have major problems and cnt hit anything book another lesson.
