la bala
i have owned a 452 silhouette for a few years now and get on well with it, however when i first got it the butt seemed short, i never did anything about it and obviously got used to it. Any of you guys think the same? if so did you remedy it or get used to it like myself.
bicykillgaz
Same here, my boyds stock seems even shorter than the standard which reminds me I need to get some spacers ordered.
Albert 888
Same with my 455. Next step is to fit an adjustable bisley but pad.

kent
thanks, as it is composite could you suggest a name. Buy one and grind to fit, the bisley type with the duel ali plates is normally good and very easy to get a good finish on (well it is but I still see plenty very badly fitted ones). Not sure on that particular stock how the screws locate in bushes or direct, if direct there is no issues, in lugs and you have to find something that works out regards centres. If your struggling with the how PM me and will do what I can
the enigma
Yep, my 452 American was on the short side too, with just the thin plastic butt plate, and like Kent says,it was prone to sliding when I shouldered it. I fitted a Bisley adjustable pad,not the prettiest but it does the job.
Dekers
It's quite straightforward on the American (or Wood varieties) the Silhouette, etc aren't quite so easy! My WMR American.....
Albert 888
You may be able to drill the bisley butt pad to suit the hole centres of the plastic stock. That means you can use the original holes.remove old butt pad place on new mark centers then dill and countersink to suit. They are around £15 and quite adjustable.
