Will Poon
Just been shooting at a clay club this afternoon with my remington 870 , standing in the cage I was loading two cartridges in the tube then push the action lock and pump one in the chamber ready for shooting, It's abit long winded if you ask me. Or do some of you put one straight in the chamber then one in the tube? so not need to use the action lock or is that a bad/dangerous practise. Abit confusing sorry Edited February 19, 2013 by Willpoon
CZ550Kevlar
With pump and semi always one first in the chamber then one in the mag.

CZ550Kevlar
Yep, never done it any other way as it speeds things up. Putting 2 in the mag then working the action is so long winded and tends to muck up my rhythm.

thepasty
I'm an up the spout man, the actions open already so why not!
Breastman
Loading the magazine, cycling the action and then reloading the magazine is the procedure in both my Benelli M2 and Supernova manuals. Fine and dandy if you're killing time, not so good for practical shotgun comps! Throw one in the ejection port, close action and load the magazine is the way i go
Sx3 clay breaker
I put one in the chamber then one in the mag for clays and sometimes if I'm standing for ages when roughing I close the bolt on a empty chamber put 2 in the mag the if anything gets up just gotta pull the bolt back and let it go I no it takes longer but if I fell over I'd rather it go bang on a empty chamber than a live one Rgds scott

I pump as I raise the gun so no time is lost.
