Ferret Master
Hi, On Monday me and flash met up for a bit of ferreting. Sadly we had no rabbits despite high numbers up to recently and most seem to have magically disappeared despite me not hitting them too hard in the Summer. I didn't see any today either. Here are a few pics from the day including the quarry which flash took with a deadly shot with the .177 S400. I told him he would need to hit it hard somewhere vital otherwise the .177 would just pass through and damage his dinner. My 3 ferrets were Echo, Nippy and Grace. flash's were Trinny and Suzannah. My 3 ferrets in their box outside a bury. The ferrety rabble at lunchtime meeting each other properly and climbing into each others carrying boxes. Umm Trinny. That's my ferret's box. :( This is Trinny discovering the ferret complete in my ferret box. I was suprised there was any food left after Grace the fat monsterous polecat had eaten her fill! Also note Nippy inspecting flash's S400. Dad went to the chip shop to get lunch and we got flash's S400k .177 out and my S410k .22 out for a plink. flash having a shot. Me using flash's rifle on the bipod. Our range with a knockdown squirrel target down the bottom of it. Ignore the chicken. It likes being in photos; it was in the background of the fox photo as well! flash with his quarry shot with a clinical shot through the twig supporting it. It was shot from 25m away from in the garden to high up the apple tree. It is a cooking apple. Did he have it for tea? This shows the presicion of the shot that landed the only quarry of the day. Despite a significant unexpected lack of bolted rabbits I enjoyed myself and I hope Tom and his Dad enjoyed themselves too. FM

Ferret Master
So did I. My Gran who lives by the land we went on hasn't seen a rabbit this week and the garden is normally crawling with them. I suspect the worse. There is no mixy about and I'm the only person who should be removing them from the land. FM B)
Frank
Good men. Enjoying it is what its all about. :yp: I was out today, only got 1 bunny , but walked miles and observed lots of things, loved it. B) FM, unless mxy has been bad in your area, i would suspect other ferreters or rifle shooters. Frank.

Ferret Master
The last mixy case was in May and that was dealt with. The buries hadn't been done by other ferreters. You would have been able to tell. B) I'm perplexed. FM
