Boromir
When ever I take my Lab out he is always licking the ground or obstacle where another dog has wee'd, sometimes even licking other dogs poo as well, this happens on or off the lead and its really bugging me and its disgusting. Im afraid that if he keeps doing this he will pick something up. He's started doing this about 2 years ago and I cant seem to sort it out. Any advice to help me out Thanks
lee-kinsman
Tell him to "leave it" followed by a right good thorough telling off/falling out session everytime he does it should do the trick. Having said that since you've lived with it for a few years you might now have to live with it a few more. Hope you get it sorted though. PERCE
I bought an 11 month old pup that was a selective **** eater, nearly 3 years on & she still does it despite my best efforts. I've learnt to put up with it although i find it frustrating.
WGD
Mine eat each others **** in the garden and in the kennel, it is revolting but as long as they behave when they're training or working like Perce I've learnt to live with it. They don't get "kisses" though

Any advice to help me out Thanks It`s only disgusting If your human, dogs sniff and lick for reasons known to them, mine likes sheep poo, some say it`s a shortage of something but he has a complete Skinners + meat diet, so maybe he likes the flavour which would be disgusting to us. kent
I am sure dogs find many of our habits disgusting. this is quite normal, good recall and heelwork is maybe only a sticking plaster but if it helps......
