sako751sg
Fine frosty this morning and took the dugs oot to a couple of places to see whats cutting aboot buck ways for the start of the season.Bitterly cold but plenty of roe enjoying the sun in the sheltered bits.Scoped 5 bucks with two nice mature heeds among them and also one with a single antler, all in velvet.Second place was hoping for a fox as the fella has sheep and usually loses a few lambs, and sure enough i came across what looked like a big dog sunning but he clocked me before i could even get the gat up and legged it.Hopefully get one or two afore lambings in full swing and looking ok for a few bucks in a fortnight. JDog
I have said it before in response to one of your previous posts but you do live in a very special place with countryside like that which is perfect for quarry species of all types. coyotemaster
Wow! What beautiful country! I am in awe of the scenery there Dave. Compared to the barren farm fields here that looks like heaven to me. A great write up and some excellent camera work---good to see the "boys" out for a romp. sako751sg
Looks very nice out there. The dogs seem happy to be out and about. Nice looking for sure fella, but bitterly cold.Hardly had the dugs oot lately so they make the most of it. in the 3rd pic was that roe that dark or is it just how the pic looks .. i thought you would be covered in snow but it don't look to bad .. nice walk He was pretty dark, but the light makes him look darker Andy.He was very patchy and that last fine spell has maybe started him losing his winter coat.Had plenty snow but luckily nay lying very long.Roll on the fine weather, hopefully for the bucks coming in. Couple of nice beasties there fella. A few oot but most in the shelter with the cold wind and good to see a few bucks.Hopefully catch up with them again in April. Save one of them Bucks for me Dave Love the photos buddy keep them coming!! Cheers Alex.Anytime you want fella.Hopefully some better anes than these will appear when the finer weather kicks in. Couple of nice looking bucks gaji you dont seem ta have much snow up there ! Lucky you lol Decent enough 6 pointers fella, and hopefully catch up with them soon.Plenty of sna fell, but nay a lot lying. Top place indeed fella, and as you say a good range of quarry. Wow! What beautiful country! I am in awe of the scenery there Dave. Compared to the barren farm fields here that looks like heaven to me. A great write up and some excellent camera work---good to see the "boys" out for a romp. Cheers Timothy.Great scenery indeed but would look better with a coyote or two cutting about, although maybe not too practical. The "boys" havent been oot much lately but make the most of it when they do.
