retromlc
it's called air gunning. I bought a HW100S in .177.it's a bit heavy for lugging around so might sell it. I was in gun shop today and saw a nice BSA ultra SE in the new ltd green synth, comes with strap.scope and a slip.I'm gonna buy it,now in what flavour? .177 again or .22,you decide! bigman
In sub 12 177 is all you need , I'm sure there's plenty that prefere 22, to me dead is dead 22 just leaves a bigger hole with a vast range of pellet weights there's not much you cant cover with 177 Edited March 15, 2013 by bigman
FalconFN
Depends how good you are at guessing ranges..177 gives more leeway and is probably the more favoured caliber nowadays. Can you try before you buy as for many an Ultra is a sizable step down from the hw.

Beretta28g
What are you shooting with it, i definatly prefer a .22 for rats
NIGHT SEARCHER
I wouldn`t think of parting with a piece of quality like the HW100. So you have a .177 in the HW. So if you must have a Ultra it`s .22 or .25 cal. It`s all down to what you are shooting I have ten rifles 1= .25 cal 3=.177 cal 6= .22 cal. The .25cal hits like a sledge hammer but only good for up to 30 yds. To much drop. But what a Rat blaster. The .22 cals are very good for most vermin control. The .177 very good for longer ranges and popping crows off. Ho Decisions Decisions. What about .20 cal. retromlc
it's more about hunting with it ,weight wise, maybe if I'd bought a HW thumbhole carbine and changed the cylinder to an A&M one, which is half the weight it'd be o.k,they don't do the Ultra in.20. I read a review on them and the guy was very impressed, I'll probably keep the HW as it's so sweet to shoot, but I am always thinking i'm gonna knock it etc, still it's just a gun,it's really just the weight of it. IXI KARL IXI
I think you get more shots per fill in .22 I think it's only about 5-10 different tho. I am looking at a ultra for my first PCP I would be going for .

retromlc
yes I picked it up yesterday, does handle really nice, the scope for me could do with some better magnifacation, but I got a spare to fit,I fitted a HW100 silencer and gun is quiet,i think the hammer noise is quieter than the HW100.I got to spend some time with it,but initial impressions are very good.I'd like to chromo it to see what it's doing.it took two rabbits this morning so v happy
