demonwolf444
As above. Come with good quality mounts, hold zero FINE, dont look goofy, simple honest and JSRamsbottom will give you an excellent price and service. I have a 3-9x50 AO for £36 from them and had it about a year now and i cant fault it. Good glass for the money

Marki
Or have a look at www.jsramsbottom.com they are very good. The Nikko Stirling Mountmasters come with mounts.Good scopes.Good price. What about the JSR Scopes? Looking at 3-9x50 with AO and IR the Nikko is about £41 and the JSR is £62. Is the JSR worth £20 more? The one thing I noticed was that it focuses down to 5yds while the Mountmaster is ok to 15yds. I've already got mounts.
NIGHT SEARCHER
The 4x16x44 target scopes look good for £40 odd pounds. The big difference is the one at £62 has side wheel focus it has 3 turrets. I have 10 Rifles all with scopes I have 2 Nikko Stirlings and 2 JSR scopes and there`s not much between them the build quality is very good on both poss the N/S looks a little bit better. The glass in both scopes are very good. I will say the mil-dots in the JSR Scopes are very good. Have a look at them target scopes they look very good value for your money. secretagentmole
What air rifle are you putting it on? I am a big Hawke fan, finding their optics really suit my eyes, I have one elderly Nikko that has put up with some abuse in it's previous life and it is still going strong, so they were built to last about 10 years ago! Marki
What air rifle are you putting it on? Its is going on a EB MOD 105 but I'm hoping to hang onto it when I upgrade. Blimey Night Searcher!!! That target scope is a telescope! 390mm long. It might just fit but it looks like it would be very close to the breech. I quite like the Nikko 4-12x50 AOIR but my biggest concern is that it won't focus down to a shorter range. I have to admit to not knowing much about scopes but most of my shooting was dusk and dawn so the idea of a big objective lens and the illuminated reticule seems useful. Dekers
NIGHT SEARCHER, on 27 Mar 2013 - 01:19, said: The big difference is the one at £62 has side wheel focus it has 3 turrets. I thought the third wheel was for the reticule light? It is on this one, it's front focus, I have the 6-24 version they no longer seem to list. The 4-16x44 target scopes are VERY good VFM as well (I have that as well, and the 6-24 version) not illuminated though, not required for the vast majority of people either and just unnecessary expense. NIGHT SEARCHER
I have 5 scopes with illuminated reticule and i can count on one hand how many times i have used the illumination. I do use night vision a lot and if you turn the illumination on it just glares in the night vision. All you can see is the cross hairs and nothing else. To be honest i have cross hair. cross hair mil-dot. xmas tree range finder type reticule. Yes they look nice and cool but i find illuminated reticule just a gimmick that you never use. Marki
Just like buses, nothing for ages then two at once! I sold some bits on Ebay so finally brought a Nikko Mountmaster 4-12 x50 AOIR from Nickwake off ebay. I made a pushy best offer and got it delivered for cheaper than anyone else was sellling it. In the evening I was talking to some guys on another forum, unrelated to guns, when one said "I didn't realise you were after a scope, I've got one you can have cheap". Turns out he brought a Hawke Eclipse 3-12x50 AOIR and never used it. The price was embarassingly low so I had that as well Two questions. How do I explain to the wife that I have two big scopes for one rifle? How do I then convince the wife that buying another rifle would make a lot of sense? Thanks for the advice guys. NIGHT SEARCHER
How do I explain to the wife that I have two big scopes for one rifle? How do I then convince the wife that buying another rifle would make a lot of sence? Hi Mark how you doing with the Hatsan 105 in .22 flavour. Just tell the wife you need another rifle in .177 flavour for longer shots and pigeons. If she whines just ask her why so many dresses and why so many piers of shoes do you need. Failing that just take her out for a meal. Give her some flowers. You will get laid and a new Rifle. Shuts her in doors up right away. Thats why I have 3 springers and 7 PCP Air Rifles. jamiedenny
hawke for me, i couldnt ever really get on with Nikko Sterling. I had one faulty unit and any others didn't seem to have the glass quality to match Hawke. I have heard good reviews about the JSR but dont expect any kind of customer service (one bad experience and you grumble forever hey..) I have the HAWKE 3-12x50 ao ir: The illumination turns up gradualy about 5 clicks you only just see No1, I use no 2 click in GREEN: But it also has RED: that has about 5 clicks too: Use the green 2 clicks in a Barn poorly lit.
