andyh990
Not sure if this is in the right section: Hi all, I am looking at buying my first semi auto, I've decided I want a beretta because I have a 682 gold e now and have read nearly all good reviews about beretta's. I would like some opinions on whether to go for a new Beretta a300 outlander or a s/h al391 at a similar price to the new gun. I would use the gun as a hide gun, and a just a general gun for most things. Does anyone have the outlander and if they get on with it or whether the al391 is a much better gun? Thanks
Whitebridges
Hello andyh990 I see you are a new member, welcome to PW. You asked for an opinion so you are welcome to mine. My preferred hide gun (for pigeon shooting) is an Beretta A391 Urika 2. Faultless and flawless. BTW mine is a 20 bore.
shaun4860
Being sensible you would go for the outlander because of the warranty, yes its a beretta but they do very rarely go wrong the outlander is now available with a wood or synthetic or camo stock, for the price it would be outlander everytime for me

jackinbox99
391 for me. Ive got one and love it. Thousands of cartridges through it no problem at all. Will cycle anything I put through it and has held its value amazingly well over the last 5 years or so.

VicW
Andy, I have a A300 Outlander that I have owned for over a year that has had over 7000 shells through it without any kind of failure. I have only used 28gm cartridges. I highly recommend an Outlander for your proposed usage. It will come with a three year warranty if bought new. Vic.
