Weihrauch airgun mod for a PCP. Next to a HW100 you can only hear the valve hammer with no muzzle report.

Wouldn't bother for a springer. Mechanical noise is greater than muzzle noise.

They are directional. In front of the muzzle a pretty good silencer still makes a surprising amount of noise. Ask me how I know this from experience next time we meet up. You will laugh, and I will wince at the memory...

Is there much difference between an .22 Air-rifle moderator and .22lr off ticket moderator?, which would you rather

Andrew

Same thing aren't they . Was only on about this with feo a few days back as she said you could buy a dozen silencers but have one on ticket

It's going to be for a little rat catcher (co2). My only concern was that Air-rifle moderators had different internal components that maximized the effectiveness on the much slower gas expansion.

Does anyone know if there is any difference between Airgun and .22lr Moderator?

Air rifle moderators like the HW one have plastic hair curlers and felt so would get ruined by powder. Rf mods can be used with air rifles but they aren't as effective, Parker Hale, Sak etc use metal components to create chambers so they can be cleaned but tend to be a bit louder.

Andrew

For a normal 12ft lb air rifle you are likely to get better results generally with an air rifle mod, these will tend to do the job better than a .22lr mod.
