kiffy
hi folks, im doing some work on one of my old airguns at the moment and i want to change the scope... well i dont really as im a tight *** but its 24 year old now and is siezed solid. the gun will get very little use as on the rare occasion i use an airgun its normally my pcp not this springer so i dont want to spend a great deal, having a nose around ive visited js ramsbottoms website as ive bought from them for donkies years and seen their own brand scopes with 3-9x40 being just £33.99 and a 4-16x44 being just £44.99 (links below) this sounds brilliant value and im tempted but have any of you an expierience with jsr scopes? i searched the forum but nothing really came up thanks steve 3-9x40 http://www.jsramsbottom.com/products/riflescopes-jsr-optics/jsr3940-jsr--leapers-3-9x40-mil-dot-riflescope-with-flip-up-covers.html 4-16x44 http://www.jsramsbottom.com/products/riflescopes-jsr-optics/jsr41644-jsr-target-4-16x44-px-adj-mil-dot-riflescope.html
sitsinhedges
Ramsbottom's scopes are generally great value for money
turbo33
I'd say they are excellent for the money. I have one of these on my FAC Airwolf. Lovely clear optics, very fine milldot reticule. Ive had Hawkes, Nikko's and MTC. This is by far my favourite, http://www.jsramsbottom.com/products/riflescopes-jsr-optics/jsr3950px-jsr-3-9x50-px-adj-pro-red--green-illuminated-riflescope.html Dekers has use the scope you're looking at. I expect he will be along shortly, or pm him for advice. Edited April 1, 2013 by turbo33
mr smith
I use the 4-16x44 on my marlin .44 for target and the odd bit of foxing.I've had no problems with it just go canny tightening the locking caps.

kiffy
no airarms se90, and unfortunatly ive just measured and it doesnt look like they will fit current 3-9x40 is an apollo is 320mm long and as you can see from the photos below i cant really go much longer, a maximum of 330mm and still be able to operate the loading tap. both the scopes above are longer... knew i should have checked before i started this thread! what a plonker!
