pin
Not a word of a lie I once had a comp some years back that just kept crashing, hard lockup nothing responding and could happen while it was booting, 5 mins or 3 days later. Couldn't work out what was wrong with it, which is saying something for me In the end one evening I was trying to play a game, doing well as well, and it locked up. I had been rather well served by the Pin Arms and I lost it, literally ripped it from under the desk and kicked it down the stairs. It worked fine after that

ChrisNicholls
www.prevx.com (get prevx1) as well. Is this a free programme? would you recommend it above ewido and ad-aware?
Bradders
I use AVAST anti virus software, it has never given me any probems, not had an infection !! since I started using it. best of all it is free for home users and very easy to install and use. It can be downloaded from http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html you will have to register to get the software key but they dont send any junk mail or spam..... best of all it updates the virus signature database every few hours automatically. pin
www.prevx.com (get prevx1) as well. Is this a free programme? would you recommend it above ewido and ad-aware? Its not free, but it is cheap, and licensed in a very interesting way. They give you a month free, then after that it will only detect and warn you about malware. You can then pay for a month's worth if you want rid of it, etc. It is also interesting as it shares with the rest of the prevx community every bit of malware it sees - which means as soon as someone else gets hit they know about it and can fix it
