b73r
What is best to get movement into my decoy pattern? Flapper? Magnet? Bouncer?
yickdaz
use all 3 in the pattern I often do but if I had to pick one the rotary would win hands down

TIGHTCHOKE
They all have their place, a rotary will bring them in from long distances, a flapper will help them commit and a bouncer is a good allrounder for all occaisions.

chrispti
As above, Magnet, along with a flapper will give the birds more confidence to commit to the decoys. Only ever use bouncers in laid patches in standing crops. Edited April 14, 2013 by chrispti
lakeside1000
I often leave the magnet at home , travelling light with some shells two floaters and a flapper, most days it works fine, but on large fields with birds a long way off the magnet works best as tightchokes says, they all have their place depending on conditions. one trick I use is find a good tree under a flight line and put a few lofters as high up as possible, often the passing birds will come into the tree when they are suspicious of decoys on the ground, works well for air rifle shooting as well.
