lksopener
Hi guys, have an old 3 gun cabinet that had two locks on. They are open but we have lost the keys. We have managed to remove the locks from the inside and I am just wondering if a lock smith would be able to make replacement keys without anything to copy? The cabinet would come in useful for my mrs as she is just applying for her shotgun cert but needs a separate cabinet as I have an FAC. Thanks, Liam

jasduck
yea if you leve the locks to him he will be able to work the shape of the key of the levers inside the lock
smokinggun
we get keys cut for lock barrels all the time at work so it is no problem for a decent locksmith, the only problem i would have thought will be if he can get the blank keys. Yellow Bear
yea if you leve the locks to him he will be able to work the shape of the key of the levers inside the lock Probably cheaper to buy 2 new locks tho' - mans time is expensive. At £35 for 2 new locks you only cover about 30 min. of trades-man's time - not enough to even cut new keys. Also check the locks have no number on them - if they do you may be able to get keys to suit.
