No problem - I had the jacket and trousers, and after wearing them for a mornings shooting was soaking in sweat underneath the garments! Goodlittlebitch
I've got a pair for my terrier work. For £40 there a bargain, and they have lasted a lot longer than the harkila pro hunter trousers I started with.
caeser
No problem - I had the jacket and trousers, and after wearing them for a mornings shooting was soaking in sweat underneath the garments! I did exactly the same. Bought a jacket and trousers, waterproof ,breathable, supposedly. Not breathable at all. Sweat really really bad in them. Got rid and bought a dearer set, Seeland. The difference is amazing. You get what you pay for, it's as simple as that. You're better off trying to get a few more pennies together, and getting better quality. jamiedenny
No problem - I had the jacket and trousers, and after wearing them for a mornings shooting was soaking in sweat underneath the garments! I thought it was just being out of shape, after a year of sweating in my jack other jacket I'm not doing another summer in it. Good for hide work in the winter though. Gimlet
If they're anything like Hunter gear I'm in two minds. Yes they are sweaty and the pocket linings split and had to be restiched. But the outer fabric is quite tough and the suit is well designed: large pockets in the right places and a usful seat flap. And it is slient. They stayed water-proof for two years then turned into a sieve, But to be fair that's not unique to Jack Pyke. Its a pity. It's so nearly a good suit but for attention to detail and quality control. I bought a Deerhunter Smallville suit on offer for £150, same money as JP Hunter. Its certainly warmer, breathable and generally more confortable but the pockets are far too shallow and in the wrong places, I daren't take the fabric near a fence, it isn't silent and it isn't water-proof. First time I used it was in a high seat. There was a sudden hail storm and within second I had a wet backside. The search goes on and in the meantime I find that for all its faults I use the JP Hunter more than the Deerhunter.
Footu
I love the jacket for autumn shooting. Wore the trousers just once and don't want to do that again.
