njc110381
Nice gun, good choice! The fore end on yours is different to mine, is that a sporter thing?
suggs
Nice gun, good choice! The fore end on yours is different to mine, is that a sporter thing? i was told the fore end is only available on 28inch guns for some reason, think its a trap shooting design, i tried a 30inch sporter and that had the other fore end same as a game gun, although both are sporters. cheers

Frank
Not a lot of of places to go shooting their i found, unless, your a member of a clay shooting club. suggs
theres several clay shoots nr me in Thurrock and in dartford kent about 15-30 mins away that are pay and play, and as you say some members only clubs with long waiting list, theres a fair bit of farm land and woods here but getting permision i think is very hard although a friend on mine's dad has air rifle permision on a few sites, im going to have a word and see if a shotgun would be allowed.. benelli 1
Lovely looking gun that mate. You dont get that many come along with fantastic looking wood on them. when you do you need to snap them up quick. I bought a silver pigeon II , sporter , 32" m/c not long ago. I consider my wood nice but yours is very nice indeed. I'm having mine sent away to have it oiled rather than the varnish finish witch sratches to easy. Anyway best of luck with it mate. I hope it serves you well
suggs
thanks for the comments im with you, i dont like the gloss varnish finish myself. the oiled finish is much more classy and practical in my opinion
deadeye
congrats, you will enjoy your new gun. the wood looks good--a good bit better than average. i own and shoot two of them and i would not trade mine for the world. they are excellent shotguns. i would humbly make several suggestions: 1-keep the treads on the barrel where the chokes screw in clean and lightly lubricated to prevent rust and corrosion. 2-use a good quality gun grease (sparingly) on the disks or cams that the barrel pivots on as it opens (breaks open repeatedly in shooting clays etc) 3-the ejectors can be "easily removed" by hand and you can clean hell out of the gun from time to time and especially if it gets wet. if you have any questions about this pm me. trust me its easy as pie. 4-beretta makes a stock wrench for removing the but stock. that way if it gets wet you can clean the inside of your gun. i really like the beretta 600 series guns. i don't believe that for real world use you could have a better gun if you had all the money in the world.
