Blunderbuss
Or pigeon watch pie at least, it doesn't actually have any pigeon in it! It does have rabbit, pheasant breast, pancetta, sausage meat , tarragon, rosemary, nutmeg, allspice and lots of other goodies. This has just come out of the oven and smells awesome and the photos don't do it justice. I've made it before so I know it's good. It will be accompanying me to the PW Cotswold gathering tomorrow, as a light appetiser before the proper food gets under way. It weighs nearly six pounds so should keep the gannets busy whilst they're waiting for the main course.
