activeviii
Bought all the bits to made a half decent red led torch. total was about £50. Managed to get out tonight and give it a go. 100 meters off the sticks, Happy, i should say. i have another one on the bench that im plating with as i dont need a beam that throw 600 meters for sitting on the rifle. 150 clear shoot is all i need and then this one will be the search light. for now im happy. activeviii
I will have to find all the information. you need to be able to solder, one part is less than 1mm. you also need the use of a lathe or be able to put a LED chip onto a bigger star. The rest you just need to order from china and wait a few weeks. i was going to add a fly lead switch for the stock but when shooting off quad sticks the one hand is not used so easy enough to switch on and off. new torch will have a dimmer but will need a stock mounted 12v battery. as its from an old maglight.
