Major Coates
Hi Everyone, Has anyone used a layout blind for pigeon shooting, I recently purchased an Avery Ground Force Layout blind and the success I am having is unbeleviable, it allows me to get out in the middle of our Rape fields, where the pigeons just don't expect you to be. It takes a little getting used to shooting from it, but I think it may be the way forward for those large awkward fields. Has any one else tried one ? henry d
Why not try walking to a likely looking spot and digging a pit in one of the wheelings to hold your calves/feet and a short piece of net and sticks to hold it up. At least if you won`t fall asleep if it`s quiet.
pin
What are they? Are these the wendy-house american pop-up type things? If you have had success with them, can you elaborate?
henry d
Plastic coffin dug into a field, usually a stubble for geese and duck in the U S of A.
pin
Lets get this right, so, its a hole (which you dig) which you cover with a net? No thanks, rather dig me own holes

Major Coates
Its not a plastic coffin and theres certainly no hole digging involved. Standby for pictures.
Highlander
Like a sleeping bag kind of thing but in camo. Used for wildfowling in the US. Don't know if they'd work on Woody though. Saves digging shallow holes and covering them with corregated sheet then earth which is what we've done in the past on big open fields. Problem is getting out of the way of falling birds MC not too sure you should be using such a handle...living up to that name would not be easy!
