ditchman
Mrs said she wanted to have a look at the local jumble sale only a 1/2 a mile up the road, last time i went i got an original late 1930 angle poise lamp that had been painted in the 60's for a fiver.........this is what i got for a fiver this time, it was manky and covered in surface rust, and the box is poor with a blue velvet lining ...i will repair all that in the coming days....and its all complete...was made in 1919 and was in the steam workshop in crewe in the apretices school until it closed........its a beaut isnt it ? MBW
Can't beat a good jumble sale! It's a nice old bit of kit, what would it have been used for? Me and the father in law got to take our pick from a neighbour of his garage after the old boy died, he was an engineer and the gear we got was unreal a lot of old measuring and marking out stuff they don't make kit like that anymore and although I don't have a clue what a lot of the stuff is for it didn't seem right for it to be binned..... I pity who has to clear my garage and sheds out when I peg it Nice buy tho mate
