ace_of_hearts
Would it not be easier to get them bored out to a true 8g if they cause that much trouble to find cartridges for?
shakin stevens
You can't bore them out anymore they are at the max.

roughshooter
I still have 400 winchester cases here but they all need sizing - if anybody wants them they can have them for £40 plus delivery. I have given up on 8 bores after a bad experience with a Ralph Grant! I have plenty of loading data here though if anyone needs any

Would you still happen to have any 8 bore load data you would be willing to share? I am getting into the reloading process for my G.E. Lewis and would appreciate the info. Best regards, Cory

mister 1216
Can’t help with lead/steel etc. However, for shot cups cut the paper end of 12 bore cartridges. Crimp closure the best. Close crimp and cut down full length 4 times equidistant. Fits 8 bore beautifully !! Cos it’s cut it goes through tightish chokes.
cash1
Be very careful with your loading I've seen two Grant 8 bores with pressure bulges in both barrels just past the chambers.

The Ralph Grants weren’t true 8 bores. They simply bored out 10 bores to my recollection and bulges were a recurring problem. If using a true English 8 bore it’s not an issue if you use the established loading data and avoid steel.
