kdubya
I have used Lipo's for a long time, they do need a bit more thought, and a decent charger/balancer (cheap as from hobby king) so here is a bit of a read, well worth the effort as its not in jargon. http://www.rchelicopterfun.com/rc-lipo-batteries.html KW
activeviii
My pinewood runs for a round 8 hours with a 7amp gel battery. i bought one of the above batteries for something else but thought i would give it a go on the pinewood rotary. 6.8amp. 2 hours. the 9 .8 would only give 3 hours i guess. i have a 22 lithium that will last weeks. i did read on the tinternet somewhere that a gent tested all this batteries and found they were no where need the stated amps. you get what you pay for i guess. the battery will run the flappers so not all lost
