its actualy from 2011, where some scum bag had shot the gease and dumped them in a pile. this pic is after they found them

from news story :-

The swans are thought to have also been killed in a similar way to the eight birds discovered days ago outside Blackford in the Wedmore area of Somerset.

The Secret World wildlife rescue charity described the original find as ‘one of the worst incidents’ it had ever attended.

It is believed the birds had been killed with air gun pellets to the head.

The latest find occurred in nearby Westham and Godney.

The cause of death for the 23 birds cannot be confirmed as the carcasses were discovered in a decomposed state.

The total number of murdered swans in the local area is now at 30 as one of the swans discovered last week managed to survive the first attack.

The charity is offering a £25,600 reward for information.

Debbie O’Keefe, spokeswoman for the chariity, said: ‘It’s very upsetting and the fact this person or these people think they can get away with it – we just need to get as much evidence as possible to make sure they don’t, and that’s why if anybody comes across even just one bird in the area, they need to contact us.’

i remember this being in the news,if its the same story some eastern european type was the culprit

There have been several well reported similar cases where the culprits were eastern European migrants. In parts of eastern Europe swans are considered delicacies and regularly hunted. Not saying migrants were responsible in this case but we can expect this to happen more often because little or nothing is being done to stop it. Prosecutions seen to be as rare as hens teeth. This is a very serious offence and perpetrators should be prosecuted and if they are migrants, expelled from the country permenantly. But then if murderers have human rights what chance is there against poachers?
