mad1
Hi all iv acquired a jackall 8000 farm jack I'm wanting to put it on back of my defender rather than the inside as I'm wanting as much room inside as poss ? What is the options of fastening this on ? I can't get it right up against the back as iv got light guards and a rear ladder and a rear step ( cheers LS) the only place I can see is across the rear x member .. But how can you bolt them and keep it from getting pinched .. Cheers m1 Edited July 23, 2013 by mad1

landy george
Mines on the inside bolted across the back of the bulkhead. Just turned up a couple of spacers with a wingnut to hold it in place.
goldypurple
i had my farm jack fitted to my winch bumper on the front, i bought the hi-lift mounts from one of the shows i when too, and fixed them on the winch bumper, also spot welded the mounts so when the bolts were removed it didnt disapear. i then used padlocks on the mounts instead of R pins, so they were secure. no one ever nicked mine. WelshLamb
Leave it in the shed. You'll never use it!
houlsby
Pfft, depends if you go 'offroading' or 'softroading' as to weather you'll use it or not! I needed one the other week when my winch cable pulled off. Ended up getting dragged out by a tractor!
seph234
Leave it in the shed. You'll never use it! i must admit my jack only comes off the bonnet for an annual grease up. I've been lucky and my winch has always worked. so never needed it.
