simon6ppc
hi guys after a long day on the pigeons me and driiler went out last night on a all night fox safari,we had to cover around 6 farms where we have permission, any way the first farm where we shoot geese we put up around 400 canadas with the lamp, the noise and comotion attracted a nice old dog fox to them which was only 120 yard away which a dropped on the spot with my 22.250.then we went up to a quarry were we see 2 adult cubs, one of them stopped in a safe place so number 2 was shot only 70 yard away but lent on a post which wasn't just that easy,as we were heading back to the farm we spotted another, i think the vixen coming back to her cubs, this girl had seen action before as the farmer lets all sorts of idiots on,we tried to head her off but she wasn't having it so when she was safe i tried a shot off drillers shoulder which with us both panting from running about was a clean miss which i dont like to admit but at least the fox isn't suffering.the next farm we went on we had another clever one to deal with which ran into some rushy field around 150 yard away and just stared at us, i could see its eyes in the beam, i new 100 percent it was the fox and also there was no other wild stock in the field so i just aimed for an head shot, when i fired i herd this weird whistle noise, ive had this before , its the bullet exploding in the rushes as there was 100 yard of them in front of the fox,any way another clean miss but not just my fault ha ha,we see a few more on 2 more farms but they wern't safe and to my record the first ive missed with my new remy out of 15 ive shot with it, so after 86 pigeons we finished of with 2 foxes and i was very very knackerd when i got home cheers simon...
