SKEET

Hi Chefy,

Paulos is absolutely right about hold points, also depending on how much longer your new barrel set is, 'percieved' lead may be an issue. Also is the action type the same? i.e. if you've gone to a semi-auto for the first time the longer action length is worth a couple of inches extra' sighting plane' over an over/under for example(I speak from personal experience). Then of course there's 'balance' differences between your new and old gun to consider. For example if your new gun is lighter in the barrel/s than your old gun, then you may not be 'finishing the shot' like you did before, or vice/versa.

Then of course there's 'new gun syndrome' to consider, particularly if you initially shot well when first trying that actual gun or that same model, Then there's gun fit too, the list goes on. I would suggest going back to your 'old' gun if possible and see if your scores start to climb back up, hope this may help.

I went to 32" at one time, reason says the perceived lead should be increased but in fact I found I had to start to (what I thought at the time to be) under lead them but then I am a very poor excuse for a skeet shooter.

Should have added that it was the same on the sporting field after which my scores increased above what had gone before.
