welsh1
Well i couldn't decide which to take so i went with my .22 and the shotgun. The wind was very strong so when i got to the permission i walked around with the .22 and **** law there were pigeons flying in twos and threes in front of me,but did spot one rabbit and was pleased with a paced shot of 57 yds with iron sights standing. Got back to the truck and thought i would get the shotgun out and try for the pigeons, but as i walked around not a pigeon was to be seen, and then this rabbit thought it would take a second to rush across the track, unfortunately it took me 1/2 a second to shoulder the shotgun and pull the trigger. Not the biggest bag,but a nice walk around on a sunday, something i don't usually get to do and a happy and tired dog asleep on his bed. steve_b_wales
I've been in the hide with my shotgun, and a fox has trotted past, just out of range. On the other hand, I've been out with just my rifle, and there's crows/pigeons everywhere. Sod's law, but as mentioned, great to be outdoors. I took the scope off last month just to see how accurate it was,and i was amazed, once dialled in it is spot on,and it raises an inch for each increment 25-50-75 etc,it is so nice to carry a very lightweight rifle around and to be honest has put the fun back into the .22. It's like being a kid again with the air rifle Can't see me putting the scope on again in the near future.
