So half eight this morning and I decided to load up and have a few hours out on the week old barley stubble...on arrival no pigeons but a few rooks and jackdaws so not expecting much I set up with two rook decoys on fence posts to keep watch and a v pattern 15 yards from the hide and 50 yards on the open end's....with my back to a holly hedge with over hanging beech and oak for shade I was set....I hit a few doubles and let the pigeons in to the pattern and not wasted shots on harder stuff I think this helped as I'm sure some of the pigeons made a pass or two before committing....

I packed up just after one as I only took 50 carts for that I picked 24 lost 3.....and it sure beats being at work that comes tomorrow...
